Pioneer introduces the S-DJ08 and S-DJ05, its first line of active reference monitoring speakers, designed for DJing and music production. These bi-amp 2-way powered speakers both have 2.5cm soft dome tweeter. The S-DJ08 comes with 8-inch woofer while the S-DJ05 has 5-inch woofer.
The Pioneer S-DJ08 is also equipped with strong 10 cm high-force magnets for better control of the subwoofers. Both speakers sport low resonance chimney-style heat sink and a bi-amp circuit that drives the tweeter and woofer separately. They offer XLR, TRS and two sets of RCA inputs for users to connect several devices at the same time. Pioneer S-DJ08 and S-DJ05 will be released in January 2011 for $1,199/pair and $899/pair, respectively.

OCZ Technology announced its new proprietary interface called High-Speed Data Link (HSDL), which is to accelerate the progression of solid-state storage. According to the company, the new HSDL interface is capable of running up to 20Gbps of data bandwidth per channel, outperform Serial ATA (SATA) and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) which only offer 3Gbps/6Gbps data rates.
