As you may know, HP has acquired Palm and the company has just announced the TouchPad, the first tablet running the webOS. As a side note, HP is dropping Palm brand so we are not going to see products with Palm logo or branding. The new tablet will be released in Summer and will run webOS 3.0. The HP TouchPad is powereod by a dual-core Qualcomm SnapDragon APQ8060 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB or 32GB internal storage. The webOS tablet features a 9.7-inch 1024×768 capacitive multitouch display, a 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, A-GPS support (3G model only), Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and WiFi connectivity. There are also light sensor, accelerometer, compass (magnetometer), and gyroscope, internal steeo speakers with Beats Audio and a microUSB connector.
