Canada-based Kobo launches its eReader Touch Edition with the new Infrared Touch Technology for a “Real Touch page turn experience”. The new eReader features a 6-inch Pearl e-ink 16-level grey screen, providing high contract reading experience even in bright sunlight. It has a single home button and a touchscreen that allows for a virtual keyboard and easy navigation. The eReader Touch is powered by a freescale i.MX507 processor and comes with 1GB internal storage for storage up to 1,000 e-books. It supports ePub and PDF files, and comes with an improved virtual keyboard and improved search. Thereader ha a SD card slot for up to 32GB memory card (enough for 30,000 e-books) and a micro USB connector. It measures 114mm X 165mm x 100m and weighs 200g. The stylish Kobo eReader Touch Edition is available in Lilac, Blue, Silver and Black. It will be available in June for $129.99.
