Genius launches the EasyPen M610XA pen tablet with a 6×10-inch working area for drawing and handwriting. The tablet features 4000 lip accuracy and sensitivty, 200 report rate, and 1024 level pressure sensitivity. It has four express keys for undo, eraser, zoom in and zoom out, and a pen clip for easy storage; and software shortcut keys for easy control.

The M610XA works on Windows XP/Vista/7 and Mac OS X 10.4 or above. It Adobe Photoshop Elements for easy photo editing and Corel Painter Essentials 4 for drawing and painting, as well as Pen Drawe, Pen Sign and Pen Toolbar.

Genius EasyPen M610XA is available for $137.34.

At the Google IO Keynote, Google expands its Nexus family, introducing the Nexus 7 tablet running the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Made by Asus, the 7-inch device is powered by NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 processor and 1GB of RAM. It is available with 8GB or 16GB internal storage and has NO memory card slot.

As Google Play begins selling movies, TV shows and magazines, the Nexus 7 is more a competitor toAmazon’s Kindle Fire. Starting at $199.00, the tablet get a 7-inch 1280×800 HD IPS touchscreen display with scratch-resistant Corning glass, and a 1.2 Megapixel front-facing camera. It supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth as well as NFC for Android Beam; and sports magnetometer, gyroscope, accelerometer as well as microphone and speakers.

The Nexus 7 comes with 4325mAh battery providing up to 8 hours of active use. It measures 198.5 x 120 x 10.45mm and weighs 340g. Coming in mid-July, the 8GB model costs $199.99, and the 16GB version sells for $249.

Asus is going to release in the US next month its Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 high-end Android tablet. One of the main selling point of this 10.1-inch device is its Full HD 1920×1080 Super IPS+ touchscreen with LED-backlit and 600-nit brightness. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass. The new Transformer Pad, intended to deliver high performance, is equipped with the most powerful chip at the moment. The 3G+WiFi model is boosted by Qualcomm MSM 8260A Snapdragon S4 Krait Dual-core 1.5Ghz processor, while the WiFi-only version sports NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 T33 quad-core 1.6GHz CPU. It has 1GB of DDR3 RAM and 32GB or 64GB internal storage.

The Infinity TF700 has a 8 Megapixel auto focus camera with F/2.2 aperture, LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording, and a 2 Megapixel front camera for video chat. It supports Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity and offers micro HDMI 1.4a output. There are built-in stereo speakers with SonicMaster sound enhancement and a microSD card slot. Its battery allows up to 9.5 hours of use.

Asus will also release the multi-functional Mobile Dock to add a keyboard and multitouch touchpad to the TF700. It also adds a SD card reader and a USB port. The dock is also an external battery for the tablet, adding 5 hours of battery life. According to Asus, Infinity’s mobile dock will work with Transformer Prime (but Prime’s dock is not compatible with Infinity).

The Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 will be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Polaris Office pre-loaded. It comes in Amethyst Gray and Champagne Gold colors. The price will be $499 for 32GB and $599 for 64GB model, and the dock will be available separately for $149.

Wacom launches its new Bamboo Splash, an entry-level tablet designed to “allow the novice or budding creative type to explore digital art in a natural way.” It comes with a 5.8″ x 3.6″ active area and a pressure-sensitive, cordless pen that offers natural-feeling pressure, providing users a direct link to precise input control and a realistic pen-on-paper feel. The tablet features 2540 lpi resolution, 1024 pressure level and 113pps maximum data rate.

The Splash is bundled with ArtRage Studio for realistic painting and Sketchbook Express from Autodesk that delivers an intuitive way to draw and sketch. Bamboo’s new pen tablet works with both Mac and Windows PC and support Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 8. It is priced at $79.

You may have heard of Microsoft’s Surface, the a multitouch table. The software giant has re-introduced the brand, launching the own-branded Surface tablets running Windows. Two versions are available, the Surface for Windows RT and Surface for Windows 8 Pro. Both Surface tablets have a all-magnesium VaporMg case with built-in kickstand, which is good for watching video.

The Surface for Windows RT is based on ARM processor and is confirmed to be powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor. It features a 10.6-inch ClearType HD touchscreen, micro HDMI video output. The Windows for ARM tablet comes with 32GB or 64GB internal storage and has USB 2.0 port and microSD card slot, and supports WiFi connectivity with 2×2 MIMO antennae. It measures just 9.3mm thick and weighs 676g. Running Windows RT, this model comes pre-loaded with Office 15 apps. The tablet comes packs 31.5 W-h battery.

The Surface for Windows 8 Pro, on the other hand, is basically a x86 tablet boosted by Intel Ivy Bridge 3rd gen Core processor. This model is just like an Ultrabook without keyboard. It also gets a 10.6-inch ClearType touchscreen, but is enhanced with Full HD resolution, and can be used with stylus pen There are microSDXC card slot, USB 3.0 and Mini DisplayPort port and the 2×2 MIMO antennae for WiFi. The Windows 8 Pro version comes in 64GB and 128GB. Compare to ARM version, this version gets more advanced features but at the same time is thicker and heavier, measuring 13.5mm thick and 903g. It battery is also bigger with 42 W-h capacity.

Microsoft will also release Touch Cover and Type Cover that not just protect the Surface tablet but also add keyboard for easy typing.

ViewSonic adds to its ViewPad line the new E100 tablet running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The device is powered by a 1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. It features a 9.7-inch SuperClear IPS touchscreen display with 1024×768 resolution, 420cd/m2 brightness and 800:1 contrast ratio; and a 1.3 Megapixel front camera.
