Gigabyte has built a new slate PC running Windows 7 for business and professional users, the S1081. Powered by Intel’s Atom N2800 1.86GHz Cedar Trail processor, the S1081 has 2GB/4GB of RAM and integrated Intel GMA 3600 graphics. It can be equipped with up to 256GB SSD or 500GB 5400RPM hard drive. The S1081 is the follow-up to the S1080.
The S1081 comes with a 10.1-inch 1024×600 multitouch display. It supports Bluetooth 4.0, Gigabit Ethernet and WiFi 802.11b/g/n as well as optional 3.5G mobile network. Its HDMI and VGA video output allows you to connect to a TV or projector for presentation during business meetings. There are also USB 3.0 port, and 1.3 Megapixel webcam.
Gigabyte also brings the D1080 multimedia docking station for the S1081. Other than DVD SuperMulti burner and a range of connection ports, the D1080 packs an audio system with 2 sets of dual channel speakers and 2 sets of 40mm woofer speakers. The docking station provides D-sub, two USB ports, HDMI, Ethernet, headphones jack, mic-in and extended battery connection port.
